Fundraiser
Together, the students will brainstorm ideas that they can implement to raise funds for a charity such as Kids Help Phone. Some examples could be: a carnival, bake sale, selling crafts, volunteering services etc. The students will plan, design, and implement their fundraiser as a group. They will delegate tasks between them, set goals, balance costs and budget their time accordingly. Members of the community will be invited to participate in the fundraiser.
Assessment of this activity will be formative and summative. Students will self-assess and set their own personal goals daily as they work towards this goal. As a group they will reflect and assess the success of their fundraiser, and their individual contribution to the fundraiser using questionnaires. They will be assessed on their depth of reflection and self-assessments.
